Beloved Baguio

I've lost count of how many times I spent my vacation in this place.
Summer Capital, City of Pines.. Whatever they call it, I still call it my second home.

As I always said even on my previous blogs regarding Baguio; This City will always be part of my Life, it caters wonderful memoirs of my college years, both sweet and bitter, and that perfectly blends.
Lemme just insert this picture *ThrowBack*

When I travel with people dear to me, especially with these people-- It’s always fun and memorable!

I told them I want to relax for the weekend, which I’m travelling to Baguio for the weekend; little did I know that by spilling my plans to them,It will give them that urge to go on an impromptu Baguio trip with me.

We meet up at Victory liner Cubao station, they’re all ecstatic for the trip. Its Jomar, Alex and Sheila’s first time to visit the City of Pines, and just like them I’m equally ecstatic to be their humble tour guide.

We reached the city by 4AM, we grabbed some strawberry taho and devoured on some JCO donuts.

We walked past some Hotels and INNs before reaching the perfect place for us to stay that night – Cosy, Clean, Affordable and is nestled at the heart of the City- BED and BATH INN.

The Inn is located just down the Igorot stairs, a stone thrown away from SM Baguio, Upper Session Road and The Cathedral. I told them that just a few walk too is my beloved alma mater – University of The Philippines Baguio-, I showed them my former school and my Dorm too, proud Iska here.haha

Bed and Bath and Igorot stairs

The Bed and Bath Inn are perfect for on the go travelers, I personally like the place as its very homey, bonus factor are the staffs, their just so amazingly friendly and very attentive to our needs. Check out their pantry, I love those colorful bottles on display, I love having breakfast here. <3

Seeing these peeps all smiles with the wonderful things Baguio has to offer them, ohh it makes me happy!

My camera’s ready to capture hundred if not thousands of photos that will remind them how happy their first Bagiuo trip was. Here are some WrightPark Moments:

You haven’t been to Wrightpark if you don’t have a photo taken in this stairs. Hehe!

Those giant trees are amazing backdrop!

My Boyfie is so supportive in taking a photo of me and his little bro.haha

This picture reminds me of how long I’ve been part of their lives. He was about 7 or 8yrs old when I was first introduced to him : )

These fine men were just in grade 1 when I was introduced to them as “i-Agom ni Kuya Nonoy” Kaloka! anu ang alam ng mga grade 1 sa mga pag Alagom.haha

Aldrich posted this in his wall with the caption – CLINGY- Hmmm I must agree.hahaha

Their famous Strawberry-Vanilla-Cheese Ice-cream.

Right across Wright Park is the famous Mansion. Photo Opt is a must!

You can’t leave Baguio without visiting MinesView Park!

People are still in awe with the amazing view Minesview has to offer, Blockbuster pa rin sa dami ng tao!

KeyChains, Fresh Strawberries, Baguio Tshirts, strawberry jam, lenguaDegato and the Famous UbeJam will forever be indemand, as personal consumption or pasalubong man.
After some photo opt and buying some pasalubong, we headed back to our Inn to have some rest.

After an hour of nap, everyone’s recharged and ready for a long walk along session road going to Baguio Cathedral and Burnham Park.

Before the night fall, we headed to The Lourdes Grotto. Perfect for those Rayuma legs of shiela.haha! 252 steps!? let's go!

We offer candles and prayers.

There’s a small chapel at the left side of the Grotto, perfect for meditation. I’m actually a fan of Big and old churches, but chapels like these are loved by me, I feel that I’m so near to the higher Being, so close to them.

There's a different aura Baguio offer during night time...

We ended the night by having a cold beer. The place is called DUYAN. This was introduced to me by my friend Kaloy Ramos, He told me that the owner of the said bar was his friend and also from Catanduanes.

Early last year when Aldrich and I went to Baguio, we make sure we can have a few drinks here. I even got to sing a few songs in the stage. Im so thickface haha!

 cold baguio night

Comforter will always be your bestfriend in bed in a cold baguio night, look at them.haha

ohh my beloved Baguio....

How many times I travelled to Baguio? Countless.

Different occasion, different reasons and with different people.

The common denominator ng bawat byahe na un? It’s the place.
I will always and forever love Baguio. heart heart!
