Manaoag, Pangasinan

Five hours north of Manila lies the province of Pangasinan.  Pangasinan is definitely a treasure trove for the senses. Most importantly, for the faithful Catholics, Pangasinan is also home to Our Lady of Manaoag which is located at Manaoag, a first class municipality in the province of   Pangasinan.

Together with Mom and sisters Pinky and Tin, we boarded a 4am trip @ Victory Liner  bus in cubao.  Arrived at Panagasinan just in time for Brunch. we had a quick brunch at  chowking which is just across the church.

We are able to catch the 10AM mass. after mass we offered candles  and prayers.

then we patiently fall in line so we could touch the image of  Our Lady of Manaoag at the 3rd floor of the Hall. It is said to have miraculous powers. Everyday, people from all walks of life visit this municipality in Pangasinan to hear Mass, pray the Rosary, offer flowers, light candles, and be in contact with the holy image.

at long last, that miraculous touch to the image

By the way, inside the Church premises is a vast garden slash park slash meditation  area. serene . beautiful. stress'free place for tourists and locals.

souvenir shops outside the church offer various products, from Large images of the saints to the smallest yet best find keychains. even kakanin and the famous tupig and puto calasiao  are available.

We left Manaog at around 4PM. Spritual healing and inner peace are just two of the things i had from this trip, well aside from those cute keychains, religious items and yummy tupig! I will visit Manaoag again, soon. :)
